These are the Ertmanns. You’ll find Josh and Janelle and the kids here pretty much every day during the day. Josh loves to work the register and talk to the customers. He too has Celiac Disease (even though he married into the family -what are the chances of that?) and he loves the food we make here. Because of his love for the food he loves convincing others that Eleanor’s Bake Shop is not only the best gluten free food around, but it’s the best for those that aren’t gluten free too. He is our salesman. He also helps make the bread and other baked goods.
Janelle is our creative genius. She has been baking and decorating cakes and teaching cake classes for years now. If it weren’t for her we would never have even thought of opening a bake shop. She is here during the day baking delicious goodies and creating new flavors for our cupcakes and cake pops. On Saturdays you’ll often see her in the kitchen decorating specialty cakes. It’s a lot of fun to watch her create her masterpieces.
Josh and Janelle have three kids -Clara, Nolan and Oliver -and they are here anytime their parents are. You’ll find them in their playplace with their toys or watching a movie. They love being able to occassionally eat the yummy treats we have here but some of them, especially the little Oliver, can get quite jealous when a customer is eating a treat and he doesn’t have one. Don’t worry -you don’t need to share with him.
