What does Ferrin do? Hmmm. Good question. In this picture here it looks like he’s working -he’s actually not. There is absolutely nothing in the oven -he just wanted to pose for the picture.
Ferrin is a senior in high school -he helps out at the bake shop on some evenings when he’s not playing tennis or practicing for the play. He also helps out on Saturdays all day (unless he leaves early or comes late for tennis, cross country, or some other extracurricular activity). Starting in June he will be working full time at the shop and will be our driver (provided we actually get our products in to stores). He loves flipping arepas -that’s pretty much his job on Saturdays and he’s pretty darn good at putting the little plastic “bags” over the cake pops and twist tie-ing them. But he’s still a big part of our big happy family with celiac disease, helping us share our story and love for gluten free food!
